About Royce

Possessing an innate sense for both entertainment and competition, former NBA dancer Royce Reed has been in the spotlight nearly her entire life. As a professional dancer, actress, model and successful businesswoman, Royce Reed remains steady in her pursuits for success, never allowing anyone or anything to impede her goals.  Currently the star of VH1’s hit new show, Basketball Wives, Royce is grabbing the nation’s attention by allowing the world to catch a glimpse of her fun, yet sometimes crazy lifestyle.

With a strong foundation of family around her, Royce has been strong-minded and driven from an early age. Born and raised in Orlando, FL, Royce grew up excelling in gymnastics, competitive cheerleading and dancing. Her love for sports also led her into track & field and flag football. During her time at Florida A&M University, Royce held the positions of cheerleading captain and president of the Mahogany Dance Theatre in Tallahassee. After graduating with a degree in Theatre Education and Humanities, Royce began traveling around the world as an actress, model and dancer.

As a professional dancer, Royce has performed across the country with the NBA teams the Miami Heat and the Orlando Magic. More recently, Royce started her own new burlesque dance company, Fantashique, which performs for audiences all across Florida. The colorful combination of stunningly brilliant moves and beautiful women has made Fantashique an instant success.

In a word, Royce can be described as a firecracker, who is no stranger to confrontation. With a natural competitive spirit, Royce rarely bites her tongue or backs away from a challenge. On VH1’s Basketball Wives, which revolves around seven women who are linked to professional basketball players, Royce’s fiery passion has already made national headlines. As one of the most explosive characters on the show, Royce knows that her hardest task will be debunking the negative stereotype that the other wives have against team dancers.

Always keeping her priorities in line, Royce’s true passion is being a single mother to her two year-old son, Braylon, and takes great pride in raising him into a strong and respectable young man.
